For the Ladies...
I just came across a study and I wanted to share it with other post-transplant women. I've been having irregular and VERY heavy menstrual cycles for the past couple of years. I kept getting brushed off and then finally had an alarming incident that sent me to my OBGYN. They finally have taken me seriously. I just got an endometrial biopsy and it says that I have hyperplasia.
Here is the article I'd like to share.
I wish my OB had been informed that my heavy and irregular cycles from hyperplasia may be VERY common in female renal transplant patients.
But since my doctor didn't know, I'd like to share the information with you, so that you know.
Has anyone else experienced this condition?
Thank you!

Transplant Patient
Fascinating!
i always say nothing with me happens in isolation. Everything is affected by everything else, and whenever I’m trying to figure something out in my body I always have to look to my other conditions and the state of everything else. I think more patient care should be approached that way, especially when it comes to something like transplant.
thanks for sharing!
