Rejection

Just got a call from my nephrologist and said i have antibodies in my blood, it could be because when i had cmv my mycophenolate acid was lowered from 4 a day to 2 and the cause of antibodies could be eather related to the medication or rejection.

Has anyone been through the same or knows anyone that has, im taking the news slightly because i dont want to worry about something i cant control.

Thank's in advance.

    Hello Yvonni,

I am also on Mycophenolate, 2 tablets per day for the last 4 years since my transplant. I never experienced antibodies in my blood; my nephrologist did mentioned to me that in the event that it can be removed through Plasmapheresis. It is done much similar to dialysis to remove the antibodies from the blood. The doctors will know the next step, I will be praying for you.
