If I could make a law...
I am learning about advocacy and legislative process here in America. My own family journey has lead me to realize some of the shortfalls our "system" has in regards to getting access to medical treatment in a timely manner. This has motivated me to discuss new policy ideas with our law makers that will help patients with rare disease get access to medical treatment without added delays from the government. Its a long and complicated process, but it is very much needed.
It got me thinking, what would people here on this website suggest for a "there ought to be a law.." Does anyone have ideas that they think will make things better for people who are somehow touched by transplant? Have you experienced something that you think is "broken" and needs attention? What do you suggest? Have you done anything about this?
