Transplant Games of America in Alabama
It was such an incredible experience to participate in the transplant games of America this past week! Our team met with so many fellow recipients, but also donors and donor families, companies and other organizations involved in the space. I was honored to be invited to speak twice / both at the “Live at TGA” which you can find on YouTube https://youtu.be/z9-IFBXrdUM?si=EC4_nKUU8y4QOXGT, and the luncheon talk called “health and happiness” which is now on our Lyfetalks on this very site https://www.transplantlyfe.com/education/blog/lyfetalks !
The added joy was to spend extra time with fellow TL members and recipients @Jeanmarie and @TServold as well as be joined by my daughter Liv, who really learned a lot and was quite helpful (especially in collecting pins!).
I could not have wished for a better way to spend my bday on 7/7/24!

I loved every single minute if it!!
I was able to watch the opening ceremonies, we had a lot of coverage on our news to. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to see/so much about donor/recipients and how very important to sign up to be a donor. I like the living donor speaker also.
The whole event was so wonderful! Thank you for posting the TGA live. I missed it. Such good info Karin! Thank you for taking the time to do both presentations. There is such valuable information in both!
