My son is approaching 6 months post kidney transplant. Good weeks and bad weeks all depend on regular blood test results.

Overall he is doing very well and we are so thankful!

He has some tremor and a bit if depression that seem to be medication side effects.

He is really looking forward to the holidays - the first without dialysis in years! :)

That's amazing! Congrats to your son. I know my first holiday season post transplant felt like a huge deal. I think we have a picture somewhere of me standing in front of a shopping cart with apple pie because it was the first year I was able to be part of prepping for the holiday and without dietary restrictions! I was so excited I got dressed up to go to the store and told everyone working there it was my first holiday season being able to eat apple pie

Cdub congrats to your son!! Tell him it will get easier. I’m so glad he is looking forward to the holidays. That always lifts my spirits.

I’m taking care of my husband at this time. He cut his finger doing a woodworking project for me and it became infected. The infection spread to his blood stream leading to a few operations. He keeps me busy and the roles have changed but our love keeps us strong. I am really looking forward to the holidays!!
