I’m in Canada and I can have the occasional drink. There are a lot of things I’m realizing are different between the US and places like the UK/Canada/Australia.
I didn’t drink at all the first year post transplant, and even now I drink very rarely. I don’t really miss it, I’ve learned to make a great mocktail and most places I’ve been out at either have a mocktail menu or are willing to accommodate.

I have learned not to ask medical providers, they will not comment.
Sometimes I would enjoy a double shot of Knob Creek in a sniffer while looking at a nice fire in my fireplace.
