Who is in your village?

As a kidney patient, who is your go to person that you can talk to when you get stressed, overwhelmed or just afraid of what might happen? Is it a family, friend, social media or no one? Who is in your village to help and support?

Transplant Patient
I had a liver transplant 4.5 years ago, and I feel really lucky to have some incredible people in my corner. My go-to person is my husband, who has been there with me through it all. I also lean heavily on my transplantlyfe community, including one on one connections I've found through our buddy program and the group support we have in our support groups.
I have a number of people in my village. I have developed a great relationship with my medical teams, and I can always reach out to one on them. I have a second mom, therapist and members of Transplantlyfe that have been a major support when I am feeling overwhelmed
I guess my village begins with my son, his girl friend, my mom and 3 very dear friends. I have my husbands fire fighter family also and I can’t forget my friends at Transplantlyfe. My medical team is always available for questions and support as needed but not like the support from family and friends.
