I just wanted to write to share my experience with tonight's support group led by @AliEm14 We had a pt story from a liver recipient named Grey and man oh man his story was inspiring and his message of finding your north star and focus there. and Im paraphrasing, but Its not the disease that should define us but how we respond to our disease/sitiuation. No truer words. Thank you!

I really could relate to him for the simple fact that even though my journey was hard, I always kept going. There were times where I was admitted in the hospital on Thursday released on a Sunday and went back to work on a Monday. I could never explain where I had the motivation or the mindset to do so but sometimes you feel like when you have no other option you just have to keep pushing and it will turn pain into purpose

I was coming here to say this! Last night's group was incredible. Grey's story is so inspiring and encouraging, and he was one of the first people who really showed me what it looks like to thrive post transplant.
