Skin cancer reduction

I am five years seven months post kidney transplant.
I was having skin cancer issues even before my transplant. 5+ years on tacrolimus has proven to exacerbate the skin cancer lesions.
UCSD recently switched me over so I am taking a combination of tacrolimus and sirolimus.
adding the sirolimus to my medication regiment well hopefully reduce the amount of lesions.
they are squamous cell skin cancers and they’re not a lot of fun to deal with.
I’m also noticing with recently starting sirolimus that my heart rate seems to be higher. Anybody out there have that situation? Take care!

I’m 38 years and have had several hundred removed. A few major Squamous removed more Mohs than I could count. I would recommend get a script for Fluorouracil 5 and Calcipotriene and apply immediately if you see a spot. This has helped in getting them early for me without needing surgery. It only took a couple hundred to figure it out.
I'm 38 and about 11 years post-kidney transplant. Currently on Envarsus and Myco. One thing I found frustrating was the wait times to be seen by my main dermatology clinic. This once resulted in me getting Mohs surgery months after the basal cell should've been preemptively removed. With that said, I switched to a derm clinic that could get me in as little as a day and that's allowed me to have lesions removed long before they could reach a point requiring invasive surgery. I have pale skin and history of skin cancer in the family, so I totally understand your concerns. My best advice is to stay vigilant - I have a note in my iPhone which lists spots on my body to watch haha
