Sacred Gift Film

If you haven’t heard of the Sacred Gift film, I highly recommend checking it out! It was just named Best Film by the international society of nephrology. I had the immense honour of attending an event related to the press of this movie, and to learn from those in Canada’s indigenous First Nations communities about their stories relating to healthcare and transplantation that went into this film. I genuinely believe it is stories like this that can drive change and spark action, as Dr. Tait said in this article. If we don’t include more diverse perspectives in transplant, healthcare and the stories we tell, we’re failing the people we claim to care about the most.
