Watchman Procedure

Hi,

I'm a kidney transplant recipient (May 12,1994) I'm doing great but have Atrial Fibrillation and take a blood thinner (Eliquis).

My Electrophysiologist has recommended a Watchman Procedure which will allow me to stop taking blood thinners.

Has anyone in this group ever had a Watchman? If so, how are you doing? Ever had any issues?

I'd love to stop the blood thinner but also nervous about the Procedure.

Hoping to hear from others.

Thank you 😊

I am taking Eliquis after I had my fistula removed last month. A family member was taking eliquis while receiving a shock for arrhythmia and they had good results. I don’t know about the watchman. You could seek a second opinion from another physician.
