I would think if you washed your hands after cleaning a tank or wore gloves it would be ok. I'm not a fish person but I would probably just treat it similarly to any other pet and be smart about it
I'm not a liver transplant patient but I had a kidney transplant and kept fresh water aquariums for 4 years after my transplant. I was always very thorough with washing my hands and never had any issues. See what your doctors say about it and let us know if there is a specific reason as to why not. Otherwise, I agree 100% with what @AliEm14 said.
