Hi Stefany, you should check in with your team or your doctor about that. I think if you are intentially loosing weight due to working out/diet changes then that is probably okay. But rapid, unintentional weightloss over a short period of time might reflect some underlying health issue. Sometimes your weight can affect medication doses and how your body is absorbing those transplant medication so definitely give your doctor a call.
I am not trying to lose weight. My diet have changes especially my food everyday.
I am losing weight too, about 40 pounds over the past 3 years. 10 pounds in the last 2 months. I had Liver cancer and the cancer is back. This is the second time in two years. I start radiation treatments in two weeks.
Please see your doctor.
I went to my primary doctor and I wrigt 110 and they are not happy with my weight. They want me to be 115. My cousin bought me glucerna shake. My doctor ask me if I am still hungry about my meal I said yes. I don't know if glucerna shake is good for my kidney transplants.
Are you able to contact the dietitian at your transplant center? Or maybe reach out to your nurse coordinator and ask if that is okay for you to have. Glucerna is a product recommended for diabetic patients because it helps to keep blood sugar from jumping. So that wouldn't harm your kidney but I think you should ask your kidney doctor or transplant doctor just to make sure.
I am a diabetic my number sometimes on 200 at nighttime ir sometimes in 100 or under
