What would you tell somebody newly transplanted?

This was our opening question in support groups last night and I loved the answers we got as a group. Here are a few of my favourites:
- find your community, but don't compare yourself to others. your journey will be unique
- take it one day at a time
- give yourself grace
- try to find something everyday that makes you smile
- seek out mental health support.
- Find a therapist, and get plugged in to a support group
- take your time - you're not going to bounce back right away. everything about your life has changed. be patient.
- transplant life is hard, and you can do hard things
If you were answering the question, what would you add?

Stay the course. It is worth the effort.
Take a step back from all the medical stuff for a few minutes, and just be a person. Knowing all you get to know when you are sick can be overwhelming. Completely be your own advocate, but also just try to enjoy life without patient goggles.
The efforts you make to be transplant successful is worth the ultimate benefits.
