June 11, 2025
in General
Hey, all. Later this month, on Tuesday, June 24th at 4:30pm Eastern Time, TransplantLyfe will be hosting a live webinar entitled, "Financial Considerations for Transplant Patients."
We'll be joined by a very knowledgeable social worker who will cover everything from typical costs associated with transplant to the various parts of Medicare and how/why one should apply, if eligible.
In order to best prepare for the webinar, we'd love to hear any questions you may have about Medicare coverage. Simply post below.

I'm really looking forward to this! I can never fully wrap my brain around the available benefits or where I fit in within them!
Just registered! This will be great! Can't wait!
If I have employer or union group health plan coverage, how does the 30-month coordination period work with Medicare? Which plan will be primary, and how will my Medicare costs be affected?
If you were granted retirement disability and you were employed by the state( SEHBP) would you have to come out of retirement to return to work. In this case I was given Medicare Part A, B and C and have been retired for 7 years
Thanks for your contributions, @TServold and @Ldybug97!

This webinar is starting in 8 minutes! Hope to see you all here.
Thank you to all those who joined Craig, Karin, and I yesterday afternoon for a very enlightening webinar. We're in the process of uploading the 60-minute recording to YouTube, along with Craig's slides. We tried our best to integrate pre-submitted questions into the discussion, but please note there will be a part 2 of the webinar, tentatively scheduled for August, for a deeper dive into Medicare for kidney patients. Lots more to discuss and learn together!
