Living In the Now
July 8, 2025
in General
Tonight in support group, we focused on the “here and now” what’s currently going on in our lives.
It was a great reminder to pause and reflect on the present.
So let’s open it up:
What’s happening in your life right now?
Whether it’s planning a trip, organizing a living donor awareness event, or celebrating a birthday or anniversary , we’d love to hear about it. Big or small, your moments matter.

I am painting and enjoying the outdoors with some gardening. I am allowing my body to heal, and am really appreciating feeling good today.
@TiaBean i agree with u i really enjoy painting and do a lot of coloring and i enjoying painting and stuff i fill really good today each day is a victory for me as long as i stay healthy and leave the rest to my transplant team and my family i know im in good hands
My "now" is that I am fighting hard to keep the "old man" out! Transplant, heart stents, hard case of COVID last winter, arthritis in the hands and knees, ... Ugh!! But I press on! Eat better, getting my exercise, and enjoying everyday like it's my last.
I am finding that I may need to scale back or give up some of my hobbies. I was out in the deep woods yesterday setting up a game feeder for the fall deer season and to hunt hogs. I just almost can't do it by myself anymore and begining to question if it's wise to bow hunt solo.
I'm thinking I can transition my passion for traditional archery from hunting to being a "coach" for youth archery programs. Maybe that's my answer.
