I am grateful to my donors for giving me the chance to play tennis again!
Happy Donate Life Month! Looking good and grateful! I'm grateful to my donors so that I can swim again!! Every stroke counts!
You look so fierce here!
Thank you @AnnMarie and @Liamsmommy14 - let’s make this month last and raise more awareness for organ donation
@Karin you are a badass! I don't want to be on the other side of the court from you! (Also, this post gives me lots of inspiration - it's so easy to focus on how bad things can go after transplant. This shows me that it can also be great!)
I love this! I just shared my first ig post for donate life month about how badass I am after surviving transplant and I’m sharing facts about organ donation on my Facebook. I want to make this huge - let’s bring attention to organ donation.
(I don’t know if this is a thing in other places but here April 7 is green shirt day to raise awareness for organ donation. We do it on that day in memory of the humboldt bus crash which happened not too far from where I live and all the hockey players on board who died and donated their organs)
Wearing green on the 7th sounds like a plan!
@Karin Awesome photo! The OPO in Texas posted a graphic of ways to celebrate this month.
@Karin - you look great! I used to love tennis! I've got to get back to that someday soon! We're doing advocacy work to the state legislature and flag raising ceremonies - and I'm certain there will be more!
Day 2 of donate life month - ready to box!
@Karin You look ready for a fight! 👊🏼
You go girl!!
@Karin - Way to go!
:-)) it was fun! I actually have a punch ball in my home office
Day 3!! It better be nice today I am so tired of the cold weather lately!!
@Karin me too! I’m so tired of this cold weather. I want patio life so bad! Also I love this photo of you, it feels so springy and Easter like to me
@Karin Love the photo! So adorable. Happy Easter
I am doing a bunch of outreach for organ donation month. I have a few radio interviews coming out this week. It’s exciting to be raising awareness for organ donation and I’m also terrified with how much pressure is being put on me (or that I’m putting on myself) to get this right 😅
How do you do the outreach? Would love to do more myself !!
