I got my kidney from my grand mother from mother side . Her age is 55 .blood matching in 92 % . My age is 25 . Before my creatine used to be 1.4 mg/dl after an year of transplant surgery , then I did exercises pullups, pushups, tricep deps ,regularly for 2 months , my muscles grown after that and I reduced fat of 1 kg . But my s.creatine increased from 1.4 to 1.6 .what does that mean If I try to build body with increased in s.creatine does my new kidney damages in long term and can't survive for years?? . I wanted to exercise but that fear of creatine is there in my mind !!/- what to do ... Your BUN is 45. You may need to drink more water. I had similar issues before. My kidney doctor told me to drink 2000 ml of water everyday.

Creatinine can be improved after drink enough water too. Please check with your kidney doctor or family doctor.

    Take care.

    And what is BUN ???

BUN stands for Blood Urea Nitrogen. This blood test measures your urea nitrogen. Higher numbers are related to kidney disfunction but there are many factors needed to determine over all kidney health, the BUN is just one. Definitely check with your nephrologist about exercise, fluid intake and dietary restrictions.

Hi! I agree that you should discuss this with your nephrologist/team before you do anything else! I am no expert, but if you think about what happens when we exercise, essentially we break down muscle to build it and in doing so there is usually more protein biproducts in the blood stream for the kidney to filter out. Creatinine is usually a range and so its possible that this + maybe needing to increase hydrating while you exercise, bumped up your creatinine. Again, please check with your doctor first and maybe even a dietician if you have access to one, but there is a way to safely exercise. You just want to make sure there is nothing else causing your creatinine to go up and that your medical team sees the full picture.
