Patience, tolerate, hope. First gut reaction. Will keep thinking about it.
I really wish we could pack those up, @TheMac! I would put business cards with the Transplantlyfe website in there, so they could find this community. Journals so they can write their feelings. Finally, blankets. For when it gets cold in the hospital. Good blankets.
In 10 years? Interesting. Even though life is all "AI this and AI that," I would add a journal w/pen to document the ride, a set of fun markers to stimulate creativity, and a mix tape of resilient songs! Glorious by Mackelmore, Tapestry by Carol King, Hamilton Soundtrack, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Motown, Bob Marley,Joe Strummer, All Brandi Carlile, Jon Batiste, 80's New Wave, Badly Drawn Boy, The Oh Hellos, Natalie Merchant, so many more, this is just a start. :)
