This is a good question I tend to avoid crowded areas but in so doing will miss out on the fun and get together this season.
so at the moment not sure what to do…
@BabyJ25 We all have to do what is comfortable for us. I cook at home and watch Hallmark movies. I usually set up a facetime with friends. I did travel once but I left town before the airports were crowded and came\\ back on a tuesday rather than the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Whatever you choose to do I wish you a happy and healthy holiday season
i am always a bit nervous from Oct-April but docs have said I will get sick eventually and the further out from transplant I get, the “safer” getting sicks becomes. I will always be uncomfortable in large crowds or small crowds in small rooms.
i wear a mask and use hand sanitizer after touching foreign items, ie grocery store. I wear rubber gloves to pump gas then sanitize. I NEVER touch a door handle, I always use a piece of whatever clothing I am wearing. I make sure if I am getting together with friends that no one is sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick. I am lucky in that anyone I hang with knows my status and has no problem. I wear a mask in the car if I with someone other than my partner and daughter. (I am in close proximity with my partner and daughter constantly). Small I closed spaces with unfiltered air can be a set up. I have to give myself grace because I get sad when I have to miss events if it feels unsafe. I have had to forgive myself for needing to take these precautions and it took awhile.
bottom line, you live in your body, other do not. You need to always follow your intuition so you feel safe.

THIS! @TheMac
This time of year, more and more people in New York ARE wearing masks, so I feel less self-conscious about the fact I do wear mine to ensure I stay healthy. This is not a sales pitch by any means, but I wear cloth ENRO masks which are rated as high as some N95s and they're very breathable and comfy. I have them in my car so I'm never stuck without.
