❤️ Heart transplant recipients will have an enlarged left atrium. Basically, a “double atrium!” So, don’t freak out if your echo mentions this. At first you might think, “ what’s wrong?” But what happened is your new pre-owned heart needed something to attach to. This is why your echo will show a huge or large left atria.
