Hello everyone!

On Tuesday, April 21st, we’re hosting “Living Donation: How to Start the Conversation and Navigate the Journey.” Maribell Costell, a Living Donor Facilitator, will share tips on how to begin the conversation, what to expect along the way, and how to feel more confident taking the next steps.

Maribel turned her personal experience as a donor into a passion for helping others and guiding them through the process! We are so excited to have her join us for this webinar.

Please share this information with others who may benefit and feel free to share your questions before Tuesday! There will also be a live Q&A during the webinar!

Go to the Education tab and click "webinars" to register :)

Hi Dom, my tx team said my kidneys are great, what are the odds of me being able to be a living kidney donor, as a post-liver tx recipient? Is this a thing? I’m already on the donor registry, but as a donor on my ID. Is there any info on this? Thanks in advance, y’all are awesome!

Hi Shaw! That is a great question actually and I have often wondered that myself! I am going to tag @Karin because she may have more medical insight. I think that your team would be the only ones that can answer that.

I am also registered to donate on my license, however, I've been told that I can't donate blood or bone marrow due to my underlying condition. So maybe it varies but I know our immunosuppression is tough on the kidneys over time so that may be something your team also considers. I think it's awesome that you would be willing to donate if it was possibility! Truly appreciate your question!
