Kidney Transplant from the VA

I received mine 11/11/2011 from the VA, 15 years and going strong! It came from a donor unfortunately that had a aneurysm. After the transplant, I went to work for the VA helping veterans get benefits they deserved. Mine recent labs show a big increase in mine urine/creatine levels but I think it was because I started taking collengen to help my joints which have been deteriorating from wear and tear and immunosuppression meds. I still feel good, workout 5 days a week and walking mine dog and having a wonderful wife that supports me.

I feel I'm one of the "lucky" ones

Welcome and congratulations! That is fantastic and I love that you returned to give back and help others. Sorry to hear about your creatinine! I'm interested to hear if collagen ends up being the culprit. It took me some time to figure out that when I would go hardcore working out the days leading up to my labs it would also cause a rise in my creatinine.

I hope this gets resolved and you are still able to take collagen to help with the wear and tear!
