1 Year Anniversary Post
sorry I've been absent lately I've had ALOT on my plate lately especially with Medicaid, I renewed it early as possible and submitted everything needed and made the annoying phone calls but it's still in Limbo
my 1 Year Visit with my Transplant Team is coming up on the 20th, I'm not looking forward to the drive over there, it's 2 hours but I have to be there
only negative effect I'm experiencing recently is slow build up of ascites, it's become very noticeable now and everyone literally out of the gate calls me "Fat"
they said they'll drain it when I get my Stents removed coming up on the 10th
I sincerely apologize to everyone I haven't been around lately

Oh buddy, I can hear your frustration in your text. The last thing any of us want to have to deal with in times like this and the level of stress that comes with it is insurance companies. as far as the fat thing goes I think I probably got to beat when I checked out of the hospital two months ago. I was 179 today. I’m 210.😂😂😂😂 that record-breaking weight gain. I definitely qualify as fat.lol you got this my friend stay focused. Give yourself permission to smile.
Putting yourself first is the most important and never have to apologize for that!!! Sorry to hear about all the difficulties with Medicaid and having to deal with ascites 😐️ Just remember that is all water weight! Happy 1st transplant anniversary and I hope you got to do something that you enjoy to celebrate!
@Humbled72 @Dom
thank you both, yeah I’m trying to keep my head up and forge ahead. I gained some weight back during Recovery but unfortunately the ascites makes me look huge and it pushes on my lungs. I’m okay right now and it’ll be drained soon

The first year is a challenging one - congratulations on surviving it!
Also there's no need to apologize, ever. As much as we love seeing you around, we all totally get life happens. We're here when you need us. ♥️
