This was a big concern of mine pre-transplant, as I am not at the stage of my life where I am ready to have kids. My surgeon told me that it is possible for me to still have children post-transplant, and that he would even introduce me to some patients who have had children post-transplant. I am looking to move to an OBGYN at Johns Hopkins (where I had my transplant) so when the time comes that I am ready to have kids, there can be easy collaboration between my OBGYN and the transplant team, and they will have had experience with post-transplant pregnancies. My current OBGYN is not familiar with pregnancy post-transplant, and even asked me if it was possible to have kids post-transplant (which wasn't the most reassuring!)

@meghansmith so happy you have a plan! Although not urgent and not even a current interest - great to know it is possible!
