Today is Green Shirt Day, raising awareness for organ donation and transplantation. This initiative started in Canada with the Logan Boulet effect. Logan Boulet was killed in the Humboldt bus crash in Saskatchewan 5 years ago, and donated his organs, saving 6 other lives that day. His donation sparked a wave of donor registration and transplant awareness in Canada and worldwide. And now we wear green on April 7 for transplant and donation awareness, for Humboldt and for Logan.
