Are You An Organ Recipient? Would you like to tell your story?

My young cousin was a recipient of a donor liver. Unfortunately, the organ was rejected and she passed away three months later.

During my career as a writer, I have hoped for the opportunity to write stories about others who received an organ donation in an effort to help others who are waiting or have already received their organ.

In addition, I hope this article will encourage people to direct that their organs be donated.

I will also be looking for transplant doctors to tell their stories from the other side.

Family and friends are invited to contribute.

If you would be willing to share your story with me, please email me. I will send you a short list of questions.

You will be credited for your submission or you are welcome to use a pseudonym.

This article will run during Organ Donation Week from April 1st to the 8th.
