    because of my donor...

I am able to be a mother to my son; partner to my husband; daughter to my parents; big sister to my younger sisters. I am able to have a career. I am able to volunteer. I am able to celebrate my next birthday!

Because of my donor, I am able to live. Now that I’m no longer able to work I can perform my days with advocacy work and finishing my psychology degree. Because of my daughter, I can experience things and be an active participant in life

I honor my living donor by dedicating my professional life to helping fellow renal and transplant patients! It's my way of "giving back."

I honor my donor by being a future donor.

Because of my donor, I was able to be a father to my children, a husband to my wife, and to care for my parents as they aged.

Because of my donor I was able to care for my husband, son and mother instead of them taking care of me. Now I left everyday to the fullest and oh so very thankful for my selfless donor.

I feel the same way about being able to properly care for my parents as they age, as opposed to them spending so much time looking out for me. My transplant allowed me to be a better caregiver in that regard.

Because of my donor...I was able to become a father to two wonderful kiddos. i learned about relationships and how hard they can be living with a chronic condition. Because of my donor I have learned to be an advocate for others with this this disease.

Thanks to my three donors I was able to 1) survive, 2) enjoy life, 3) give life, and 4) help others who are in the same situation I was in.

Because of my donor, I’ve been gifted 19 extra years of life—something I never take for granted. In that time, I’ve had the privilege of watching my nieces and nephews grow up, celebrating milestones I might have otherwise missed. I’ve had the chance to be a present and supportive sister and daughter, roles that mean the world to me. And perhaps most meaningfully, I’ve been able to use my experience to support others—helping people navigate the often overwhelming and emotional transplant journey. None of this would’ve been possible without the selfless gift of organ donation.
